My sweet siblings of symphony!

Dust off your doldrums,

wet your whistles,

kick out the cobwebs!

The sun has returned, and the saccharine blood in my beloved body once again flows like the warmed wine of winters forgotten.

Our trumpets shall triumph, and our voices will vanquish the darkness that has settled into our sentimental skin.

Let us sing like sisters,

and cry like babes.

Vesuvius Erupting at Night

In the still of a moonlit night,

the wind dances around my perceivable form,

fanning the flames of my incessant desire.

Erupting from the throat,

words of devotion are boundless,

determined to reach the stars above.

Your silken waves lap at my molten core,

cracking my hardened facade,

and suddenly?

I’m pouring out everything for you,

filling the depths of your ocean,

creating somewhere new to stand.

Somewhere sturdy.

Somewhere safe.
