Phases are not always clean, labeled, or obvious. Sometimes you only become aware of one’s existence once YOU are already somewhere (and somebody) else.
Other times, you ARE astutely aware of the transition from one phase of life to the next. The body steps out for safety, only to find a cliff on the other side of a once-familiar door. As your instincts plummet, your mind gets left behind. Try your best not to lose it.
While you float along in the in-between, your body has made impact with the earth, a place it has always known. Flowers blossom and cover your timeless form in pollen. The moon pulls the ocean in and out, in and out. The perpetual promises of phases. They allow someone new, every time air breathes into you.
